Day One - Cannes Warm-up Ride
Main Route: 40km / 25mi
Total Ascent: 700m / 2300ft
This is a warm-up ride to ease the legs and body into it. Some of you may have only recently stepped off a plane, so this ride offers a great way to “tease” out that tiredness. The route will take us to Antibes encountering some small climbs and will offer spectacular views of the Mediterranean Sea.
Day Two - Cannes Loop to Grasse
Main Route: 80km / 50mi
Total Ascent: 900m / 2900ft
Beautiful day’s ride from the sea to the Maritime Alps. Very few flat sections on today’s ride. We encounter a few not too difficult climbs, enjoy some undulating terrain before a wonderful descent back into Cannes. A great warm-up for the following day's riding, which includes some significant climbs.
Day Three - Cannes to la Palude sur Verdon
Main Route: 85km / 52mi
Total Ascent: 1200m / 3900ft
Today we leave the tranquil Mediterranean behind us and head for the national park of Verdon. After we cross a few small climbs in this wonderful part of Provence we ride through the famous Verdon canyon and lake district which were carved out of the landscape by the Verdon river. This part of France will simply take your breath away.
Day Four - La Palude sur Verdon Loop to Lac de Sainte Croix
Main Route: 90km / 55mi
Total Ascent: 2000m / 6500ft
Possibly one of the most beautiful rides you could do in France. We ride through the canyon of Verdon with its 300m cliffs. The majority of our ride today is undulating but by day’s end you still will have accumulated 2000m of vertical ascent. We head home over Palude, clothed in old oak forests.
Day Five - La Palude sur Verdon Loop or Rest Day
Main Route: 50km / 43mi
Total Ascent: 1000 / 3200ft
Today we have a choice. We can either ride a little more in this amazing canyon region, or take advantage of the river and do some rafting or other activity. Guaranteed fun day!
Day Six - La Palude sur Verdon to Roussillon
Main Route: 70km / 43mi
Total Ascent: 1100m / 3600ft
A wonderful day’s ride crossing the Verdon national park and the Maritime Alps to arrive in the heart of the famous Provence! An easy start today, with loads of descents and flat sections before we arrive in the region of lavender fields!
Day Seven - Roussillon loop to Avignon
Main Route: 90km; 56mi
Total Ascent: 1000m; 3200ft
We’ll ride through the incredible region of Provence and you will think it’s fake!! You’ll experience gentle hills coverd in lavander and different flowers as we head to Avignon and back!
Day Eight - Roussillon to Mont Ventoux
Main Route: 70km; 43mi
Total Ascent: 1100m; 3600ft
Another great ride to arrive at the foot of the legendary Mont Ventoux! An easy start today, with loads of flat sections before we climb up to the town of Bedoin, the official starting point of the Mont Ventoux. Are you ready for the big challenge??
