We are super excited to be again partnering with the Haute Route organisation as an official Tour Operator for 2017.  The Haute Route Pyrenees, Alps and Dolomites cycling events, individually, are arguably the toughest cyclo sportives in the world. Just participating in one Haute Route is to come closer to a ProTour stage race than any other amateur event. To take on the Triple Crown is an exceptional challenge, tackling more than 2,100km over 21 days of riding and 60,000m of climbing over renowned mountain passes. Even the Pro’s do not race three weeks at altitude. If you’re looking for the ultimate cycling challenge – this is it!

The relatively small field for each of the three events lends the race a unique atmosphere of competition and camaraderie. Just a handful are testing themselves in the Triple Crown. The events are extremely well organised where rider classifications and times are posted, as well as leaders’ jerseys and team prizes awarded on a daily basis. The level of support the Haute Route organisation provides is the closest an amateur rider will come to experiencing a Grand Tour stage race.

PuntoTours enhances this unique challenge with an accommodation and service package even the Pro’s would be happy with. As those of you who have travelled with us before know, we only source the best accommodation for each stage. We will also ensure swift transfers between starts and finishes; a qualified mechanic and regular laundry service for clean riding kit. Additionally, we provide nutritional guidance, supplements and will be present at strategic locations for refuelling, and kit drop zones during the race.  We will give you daily route wraps, guidance and ride strategy. You will truly feel like a Pro when we sit down together for an organised dinner and discuss tactics for the following day.

The Punto crew is ready each day to give our “team” the full ProTour service and experience.  You’ll find your bike ready each morning, electrolytes, water and food supplements at the ready, and a final race briefing.  Our objective is for you to leave all the logistics to us so you can concentrate fully on the day’s ride ahead!

One great advantage of travelling with PuntoTours is your access to experienced racers, director sportif and support staff.  We've had great success in previous years with Andrea Nicosia winning the 2014 HR Pyrenees, and placing 4th in the 2015 Triple Crown. Punto Team guests have placed in the top 10 in the Triple Crown in 2015 and 2016. One of our guests won the Triple Crown in the 60+ category in 2015. Come with us and we'll help you achieve your best!

You may have a non-riding partner who would love to share this epic experience with you. We would love to have them along as this adds to your enjoyment of the event and can be a load of fun for them. They can watch and feel the emotion of the race close up, ride in our support vehicles through the stunning mountain scenery, or have some time off in some locations for other activities we can recommend. When the number of non-riders reaches 4 or more, we also offer a dedicated Tour Guide and vehicle to the group, so they can discover more of the region the race traverses, enjoying activities such as guided tours through towns, historical sites and museums, hiking, shopping, cooking demonstrations and the like. The Non-Rider Excellence Package is only €2700 (€3150 after 14 May, 2017) for one event, €7776 for all 3 events (€9072 after 14 May, 2017).

“I just wanted to say thank you to you and all your team, for the most amazing week.
Completing it (HR) with you and the group was an experience I will remember for the rest of my life made all the more special and enjoyable due to the help and organisation you all provided throughout the week, the support was fantastic in what was at times challenging conditions but probably made it all the more memorable.”

“Overall I had a fantastic time. The Punto team on the ground were superb. Unflappable. So patient. Having a tent at the end of each stage really worked for us and having Magnus Backsted around was a fantastic bonus. The bike servicing was great. As was the flexibility around booking additional accommodation at start and finish. Andrea attending the briefings for us was great too.  Christanos photo taking was very helpful too because we were racing. Davide is just an amazing person. The tone around collecting money for the extras we incurred is really good, all done in a mature way at the end.”
