15 - 22 July 2017 (SOLD OUT), Confirmed Departure!
This is a tour for the true intermediate cyclist who takes their riding and eating seriously. It’s divided in 2 parts: the Prosecco hills and the Dolomites!
The Pre-Alpine area of the Veneto region is the ideal region for such a cyclist. Plenty of undulating terrain, spectacular views, captivating cities known for their art and gastronomic delights.
In the first days we discover the beautiful city of Conegliano, Marostica, Valdobbiadene with its delicious Prosecco wine as well as many other locations. We’ll visit the Wilier head office as well as the Gaerne shoe factory all based in this idyllic region.
The second part is more challenging as we move into the Dolomites. A few of the climbs we’ll tackle include Pordoi, Campolongo, Sella, Giau, Falzarego and Gardena! But it’s not just all about the bike! The food and wine of this region will satisfy at least as much as the rides will. Come and discover the cyclists’ paradise!

Day One - Conegliano Warm-up Ride
Main Route: 40km – 30mi
Total Ascent: 400m - 1300ft
This is a warm-up ride to ease the legs and body into it. Some of you may have only recently stepped off a plane or travelled there by car, so this ride offers a great way to “tease” out any tiredness.
Day Two - Conegliano Veneto loop to Marostica & Wilier Bike factory
Main Route: 70km – 45mi
Total Ascent: 1000m – 3300ft
Our route takes us to Marostica, crossing two amazing medieval towns which have splendid walls constructed in 300AD and are still considered some of the best preserved in Europe. After this morning’s adventure, we head to the Wilier factory to check out first-hand the Wilier range and talk to the staff to glean all technical aspects.
Day Three - Conegliano loop to Valdobbiadene & Gaerne Shoes factory
Main Route: 65km – 40mi
Total Ascent: 800m – 2600ft
Today we head into the famous Prosecco region, where we find one of Italy’ most famous wines. This is an undulating route through beautiful vineyards. We’ll visit the enchanting town of Valdobbiadene and we’ll stop at the Gaerne bicycle shoe company for a guided tour of the factory. Here we’ll see how the world famous brand of shoes are still hand-made in Italy.
Day Four - Conegliano to Corvara
Main Route: 100km – 62mi
Total Ascent: 1800m – 2500ft
Today we leave the hills to enter the big Mountains, the legendary Dolomites!
A great ride up the easy Passo San Boldo first, a little mountain on the way to Belluno. The rest of the ride will be a long valley climb with giant mountains all around us until Arabba, from where will climb our last col of the day, Passo Campolongo. The final descent takes us to our destination, the town of Corvara.
Day Five - Corvara loop to Sella Ronda
Main Route: 60km – 37mi
Total Ascent: 2500m – 8200ft
A classic ride of the Dolomites! We will do 4 passes around the Massive of Sella: Passo Sella, Pordoi, Campolongo and Gardena.
Short but intense, probably one of the most spectacular bicycle rides in the world!
Day Six - Corvara loop to Passo Falzarego
Main Route: 80km – 50mi
Total Ascent: 2500m – 8200ft
Another great ride up and down the legendary cols which have made the history of the Giro D’Italia. Today it’s Passo Valparola first, then the Pordoi again, Sella and finally Gardena! Remember pace yourself for tomorrow’s epic ride!
Day Seven - Corvara loop of Maratona delle Dolomiti
Main Route: 110/138km – 68/85mi
Total Ascent: 3000/4000m – 10000/13300ft
Today we’ll do the same route as the Maratona of the Dolomites. It’s not called a “Marathon” for nothing! The race has 2 different routes both challenging: 6 passes on the short route and 7 on the longer one! The secret is conserve and survive. It’ll be awesome – legendary in fact!
We’ll deserve the celebratory aperitivo and dinner at the end of the day!
