We understand that circumstances can arise that prevent you from taking your planned trip.  We strongly advise guests to take up comprehensive travel insurance as early as possible.  The cover should be such that it will cover the costs of cancelling your tour, as well as other associated travel arrangements you have made.

Cancellation and request for refund must be received in writing as soon as possible. PuntoTours will make no exceptions to our cancellation policy, irrespective of personal or external factors. This includes but is not limited to weather, personal emergencies, having to leave tour early or arriving on tour late.

It may be possible to transfer to another tour in the same year, subject to availability.  We'd love to help you fulfil your riding adventure, so contact us to discuss.

The cancellation fee and subsequent refund, if applicable, is calculated on your total tour fee.  Due to availability and advance payments required by the select hotels and restaurants PuntoTours use, the cancellation fees below apply.

120-91 DAYS  50% OF TOUR FEE
90-61 DAYS  75% OF TOUR FEE

Should you be able to fill your place, your total tour fee, less €300, will be refunded once the replacement has paid their tour fee.

Note for event tour bookings, such as Haute Route, that include race entry, the deposit which includes the race entry fee is non-refundable and non-transferable once your race entry is registered.


Although we have rarely had to cancel any tour, PuntoTours reserves the right to cancel any trip at any time prior to departure.  We will endeavour to give at least 90 days notice prior to the tour start date.

We may be able to offer participation in an alternative tour but if the alternate tour is not acceptable, any payment received will be refunded, less an administration fee of €150. In any case refund of any payments received less the administration fee constitutes full settlement. 

We recommend you take suitable travel insurance in a timely fashion to cover other costs associated with your trip such as flight and railway tickets in the event your tour is cancelled.

If you book another tour in no more than 12 months time we will give you a credit for the administration fee.

PuntoTours will not assume responsibility for any company or persons who fails to provide services that have been contracted for any of our tours. Should this happen, alternative services will be sought.
