FULL ITINERARY

DAY ONE SUN 21 JUL | VENICE TO CANAZEI

Our first day commences at 10:00am with a group transfer from Venice airport. On arrival, there will be a delicious, light Welcome lunch and Tour Introduction. After bike set-up, a short, easy ride to Moena in the afternoon to get the body moving again after travelling.
DISTANCE | 35KM | 22MI
ELEVATION | 600M | 2000FT

DAY TWO MON 22 JUL | CANAZEI LOOP TO FEDAIA

This is a spectacular ride that winds around the Marmolada mountain, the highest in the Dolomites with the glacier visible during the ride. Two big, well-known passes, the San Pellegrino and Passo Fedaia. We ride through the impressive and narrow Sottaguda gorge as well as along past the picturesque Lago di Fedaia, of 'Italian Job' fame.
DISTANCE | 85KM | 53MI
ELEVATION | 1790M | 5850FT

DAY THREE TUE 23 JUL | CANAZEI SELLA LOOP

We trace the route of the short course Maratona dles Dolomiti. Four amazingly different passes that showcase the Sella massif.
DISTANCE | 65KM | 40MI
ELEVATION | 1760M | 5750FT

DAY FOUR WED 24 JUL | CANAZEI TO CORTINA

Great day in the saddle. We do the reverse of yesterday, up the Passo Pordoi and Campolongo, before heading down through Corvara. Then new territory up the Valparola pass and racing down the Falzarego into Cortina. More or less a rest day!
DISTANCE | 70KM | 43MI
ELEVATION | 1650M | 5400FT

DAY FIVE THU 25 JUL | CORTINA LOOP TO TRE CIME

Brilliant ride to the tranquil Lago di Misurina, and then Tre Cime di Lavaredo! The Giro finished a stage up here last year. This is arguably the toughest seven kilometres, and most spectacular panorama of the Dolomites.
DISTANCE | 55KM | 34MI
ELEVATION | 1400M | 4600FT

DAY SIX FRI 26 JUL | CORTINA LOOP

This is the prequel before the final day's challenge. We climb the Passo Giau from Cortina, dip down into the green, Fodom valley and ascend the Falzarego before the great descent you are now familiar with, back into Cortina.
DISTANCE | 65KM | 40MI
ELEVATION | 1900M | 6200FT

DAY SEVEN SAT 27 JUL | CORTINA TO PASSO GIAU

Finale day! We ride the business end of the Maratona dles Dolomiti - Falzarego/Valparola, Campolongo and Passo Giau from the classic, tougher side. If you're really hankering to also emulate the 14th Stage of the 2018 Giro, you can always add in the Muro del Gatto in La Villa, 360M of hell. Once you summit the Giau, it's all downhill into Cortina for celebrations!
DISTANCE | 95KM | 59MI
ELEVATION | 2700M | 8850FT

DAY EIGHT SUN 28 JUL | GOODBYE

Morning group transfer to Venice.
Time to say farewell, until next time!

WHAT KIND OF CYCLISTS TAKE YOUR TOURS?

There is no mold! We have had cyclists from 18-72 years of age, some choosing easy, others choosing extremely challenging tours. We firmly believe we have something for almost all cycling abilities. Use our Difficulty Rating to help you select a tour that suits what you want.  We're happy to talk it over with you if you're unsure.

HOW MUCH RIDING DO I HAVE TO DO?

As much or as little as you want. It’s your holiday.  You determine how much you want to ride. You can, on any day, choose to cut a ride short, miss a climb, only do the downhills, have a rest day or ask for more!  The van is always handy if you choose not to ride, and a guide is always willing to do some extra distance if you wish. You just need to ask.
