We suggest arriving into Heidelberg the day before. Easy train journey from Frankfurt to Heidelberg. Your tour begins in Heidelberg, meeting mid-morning for bike fit and set-up. This will be followed by a light lunch and Tour Briefing. We will take you on a brilliant afternoon's ride to shake out any cobwebs. Welcome to the Schwarzwald!

Fresh legs for your longest day in the saddle. One climb, straight out of Heidelberg, past the Schloss Heidelberg and into the northern reaches of the Black Forest region. Rolling hills after the heart starter to our hotel in the forest.

The ride commences on familiar territory as we retrace yesterday's route with a different perspective all the way to Gaggenau. We cross the Murg river and climb through the delightful forested road past the Schloss Eberstein, before a downhill run into the gracious city of Baden Baden.

DAY FIVE SAT 5 OCT | BADEN BADEN REST DAY
You've had a solid first half on tour, so R&R is the order of today. There will be a leisure activity, such as a cruise on the Rhine river, as well as time to relax and explore the lovely city centre and enjoy a German beer or two.
DAY SIX SUN 6 OCT | BADEN BADEN TO FREUDENSTADT
This is what a cycling holiday is all about. The scenery is spectacular! The riding is spectacular! The massive Platz in Freudenstadt - spectacular!

Incredible ride through the heart of the Black Forest. Idyllic valleys, wooded climbs and steep, fast descents on virtually immaculate roads. We finish in the cuckoo clock town of Triberg, also home to Germany's tallest waterfall. Sehr schon!

DAY EIGHT TUE 8 OCT | TRIBERG TO FREIBURG
If, after yesterday, you thought it couldn't get any better, we're pretty sure we can prove you wrong. The day begins with a gentle climb and then one of the best descents you'll ever do. Seriously! The route, the road quality, the views! And that is all before one of the best gorge rides ever! With a finish into Freiburg, a city with one of the most awesome church spires ever! DAY NINE WED 9 OCT | FREIBURG LOOP TO KAISERSTUHL
Finale day! A tapering ride to ease the pain of leaving this stunning part of the world. We ride through the rolling hills of the photogenic Kaiserstuhl - the real thing, not the wine casks! - vineyards. Delightful village stops, some wine tasting and a fitting celebratory dinner. Not goodbye. Auf Wiedersehen!
