DAY THREE WED 12 AUG | BASSANO LOOP TO MONTE GRAPPA

Can only be described as an epic day! And a moving one. We'll ride to the Sanctuary at the top of the Monte Grappa and see the memorial for the thousands of soldiers who fought atop this mountain and sadly lost their lives. Stepping into the underground tunnels that criss cross the summit is to step into history. The Giro d'Italia regularly uses this climb which is similar to climbing the Stelvio even if you don't reach the same elevation. Short ride but challenging.
DISTANCE | 55KM | 34MI
ELEVATION | 1600M | 5250FT

DAY FOUR THU 13 AUG | BASSANO TO CANAZEI

This is a longer day but we do the first part of it in the vans, and then ride the last 75-80kms as the climbing commences. It's a wonderful route where we ride from the pre-Alps area and arrive in the Dolomites. Spectacular scenery that is awe-inspiring as the first peaks come into view.

DISTANCE | 65KM | 40MI
ELEVATION | 1760M | 5750FT

DAY SIX SAT 15 AUG | CANAZEI TO CORTINA

This is a spectacular ride that climbs the impressive Fedaia Pass around the Marmolada mountain, the highest in the Dolomites. We ride along past the beautiful Lago di Fedaia of 'Italian Job' fame. Option of a chair lift ride for the daring to Marmolada. Fantastic descent, and then we climb the Passo Falzarego before swooping down to beautiful Cortina.
DISTANCE | 65KM | 42MI
ELEVATION | 1650M | 5400FT

DAY SEVEN SUN 16 AUG | QUEEN STAGE

We get a taste of the business end of the famous Maratona dles Dolomiti. Our route leaves from Cortina, and climbs the Passo Falzarego, and then downhill to Andraz. From there, a brief respite along the stunning valley and then, the Passo Giau awaits. Thrown at the the Pro's many a time in Alpine Giro Stages, it is now your turn. Longer option if you want an even bigger challenge. Big celebrations after this huge day out!

Brilliant ride to the tranquil Lago di Misurina, and then Tre Cime di Lavaredo! The Giro finished a stage up here last year. This is arguably the toughest seven kilometres, and most spectacular panorama of the Dolomites. A fantastic finale to your time in the magnificent Dolomiti. Celebration dinner tonight!
