DAY ONE MON 10 AUG | BASSANO WELCOME
We transfer from Venice on the morning of Day One to Bassano del Grappa. An approximately 1.5 hour drive. On arrival, bike set-up followed by a delicious, light Welcome Lunch and Tour Introduction. In the afternoon short ride to get the body moving after travelling. Welcome to the Veneto.

DAY TWO TUE 11 AUG | BASSANO LOOP TO ASIAGO
Great build-up for the upcoming days. A loop ride to the town of Asiago, famous for the eponymous cheese known and loved throughout Italy. We'll have plenty of opportunity to taste it.

DAY THREE WED 12 AUG | BASSANO LOOP TO MONTE GRAPPA
Can only be described as an epic day! And a moving one. We'll ride to the Sanctuary at the top of the Monte Grappa and see the memorial for the thousands of soldiers who fought atop this mountain and sadly lost their lives. Stepping into the underground tunnels that criss cross the summit is to step into history. The Giro d'Italia regularly uses this climb which is similar to climbing the Stelvio even if you don't reach the same elevation. Short ride but challenging.

DAY FOUR THU 13 AUG | BASSANO TO CANAZEI
This is a longer day but we do the first part of it in the vans, and then ride the last 75-80kms as the climbing commences. It's a wonderful route where we ride from the pre-Alps area and arrive in the Dolomites. Spectacular scenery that is awe-inspiring as the first peaks come into view.

We trace the route of the short course Maratona dles Dolomiti. Four amazingly different passes that showcase the Sella massif.

DAY SIX SAT 15 AUG | CANAZEI TO CORTINA
This is a spectacular ride that climbs the impressive Fedaia Pass around the Marmolada mountain, the highest in the Dolomites. We ride along past the beautiful Lago di Fedaia of 'Italian Job' fame. Option of a chair lift ride for the daring to Marmolada. Fantastic descent, and then we climb the Passo Falzarego before swooping down to beautiful Cortina.

DAY SEVEN SUN 16 AUG | QUEEN STAGE
We get a taste of the business end of the famous Maratona dles Dolomiti. Our route leaves from Cortina, and climbs the Passo Falzarego, and then downhill to Andraz. From there, a brief respite along the stunning valley and then, the Passo Giau awaits. Thrown at the the Pro's many a time in Alpine Giro Stages, it is now your turn. Longer option if you want an even bigger challenge. Big celebrations after this huge day out!

DAY EIGHT MON 17 AUG | CORTINA LOOP TO TRE CIME
Brilliant ride to the tranquil Lago di Misurina, and then Tre Cime di Lavaredo! The Giro finished a stage up here last year. This is arguably the toughest seven kilometres, and most spectacular panorama of the Dolomites. A fantastic finale to your time in the magnificent Dolomiti. Celebration dinner tonight!
