A sensational tour beside the brilliant blue waters of the Mediterranean Sea. The tour begins on the extraordinary Costa Azzurra and makes its way along the languid Ligurian Coast.

Unbelievably beautiful terrain in the Maritime Alps, stunning views along the coast, and a delicious detour into Piedmont for a magnificent wine or two. The tour finishes in the picturesque coastal town of Santa Margherita.

Bellisima!

DAY ZERO MON 14 JUL | ARRIVAL

Welcome to our lovely Hotel right next to the water.
Accommodation for one night pre-tour is booked for you. Tomorrow is a big day!

DAY ONE TUE 15 JUL | WELCOME

Your guides will meet you on the morning of Day One in Villefranche. After checking the bikes are all good to go, our first day winds inland and uphill over beautifully contoured hairpins of the Col de Braus. Undulating terrain as we loop round with views to the sea. Enjoy a downhill run to the base of our final ascent - the famous Col de la Madone.
DISTANCE | 104KM | 65MI
ELEVATION | 2750M | 9000FT

DAY TWO WED 16 JUL | COL DE TURINI

Fantastic day in the saddle! Experience ascending the western side of the Col de Braus as we take the very scenic route from L'Escarene up one of the most highly engineered roads in the region. Featuring a series of short hairpin bends, this climb has featured in the Tour more than once, but it is probably more famous for appearing regularly in the Rally Monte Carlo.
DISTANCE | 130KM | 81MI
ELEVATION | 3150M | 10300FT

DAY THREE THU 17 JUL | VILLEFRANCHE TO SANREMO

An easier day riding along the coast keeping the Mediterranean on our right. We'll head inland towards the end of the ride to keep those climbing legs in shape before a fantastic descent into Sanremo, city of flowers. Way too hard to keep count of the greenhouses.
DISTANCE | 80KM | 50MI
ELEVATION | 1780M | 5840FT

DAY FOUR FRI 18 JUL | COLLE LANGAN

Double trouble as today's route includes two scenic ascents.
The loop begins with Colle Langan, the highest paved road closest to Sanremo at just over 1000M and a thirty odd kilometre climb. It is very popular with both cyclists and rally enthusiasts. The Rally Sanremo also pushes the drivers with the ascent of Passo Ghimbegna before a sensational descent back into Sanremo.
DISTANCE | 95KM | 59MI
ELEVATION | 2750M | 9020FT

DAY FIVE SAT 19 JUL | SANREMO LOOP

Turn the legs over with a coastal ride to Imperia. We can include classics of the Milan-Sanremo on the return journey - the Cipressa and Poggio.
DISTANCE | 80KM | 50MI
ELEVATION | 1250M | 4100FT

DAY SIX SUN 20 JUL | SANREMO TO BENEVELLO

A rest in the van to start the day as we transfer to picture perfect Piedmont. Our hotel has a beautiful pool that may tempt you to a rest day, or we can do a great ride amid the manicured hills of hallowed wine terrain. Then soak in the pool!
DISTANCE | 80KM | 50MI
ELEVATION | 1550M | 5085FT

DAY SEVEN MON 21 JUL | BENEVELLO TO GAVI

You'll be sad to say goodbye to Benevello, but our destination is just as perfect. It is an undulating route, past Acqui Terme and all the way to our hotel on the outskirts of Gavi. This is ravioli territory. And wine of course! Our hotel boasts a very impressive cellar, excellent wine and an awesome restaurant. Enjoy!
DISTANCE | 100KM | 62MI
ELEVATION | 2150M | 7050FT

DAY EIGHT TUE 22 JUL | GAVI TO SANTA MARGHERITA

The coast is beckoning and a great day awaits. Our final ride treats us to sweeping vistas in the Marcarolo Natural Park. As we leave the park behind and cross the provincial border back into Liguria, a seriously long descent will bring a smile to your face. The route then winds through the hills of the hinterland north of Genoa before a last downhill into Santa Margherita. Celebratory dinner to wind up a brilliant tour by the blue waters of the Mediterranean.
DISTANCE | 115KM | 71MI
ELEVATION | 2800M | 9185FT

DAY NINE WED 23 JUL | GOODBYE

Early morning transfer to Malpensa Milan Airport for those that have onward travel. The journey takes about 2.5 hours.

Time to say farewell, until next time.
Ride safe, Puntos!
