We're super delighted to have two Mexican families return for their next Italian cycling holiday with us. This time we've planned a deliciously easy tour of beautiful Piedmont.

Rolling over the sculpted hills of renown Barolo and Barbaresco vineyards, the riding is just enough to work up a healthy appetite for the mouth-watering dishes served in this corner of Italy. Produce is local, fresh and seasonal. Home of Amaretti biscuits, Ferrero Rochers chocolates, ravioli and earthy, fragrant tartufo.

Historically charming villages and towns, complete with the warm, Piemontese welcome.

This is going to be another fun trip!

FULL ITINERARY

DAY ONE SUN 29 MAR | WELCOME

We come to north western Italy for another adventure - this time in the beautiful rolling hills of the Piemonte region. There will be a morning group transfer from Turin to Alba and our very comfortable hotel.
Welcome and Tour Briefing on arrival. We'll then check the bikes before a scenic, short shake-out ride.
DISTANCE | 32KM | 20MI
ELEVATION | 400M | 1300FT

DAY TWO MON 30 MAR | ALBA LOOP

Today we venture into hallowed wine terrain. The vineyards may just be starting to bud with green over the rounded hills where we'll enjoy riding at its best. The day wouldn't be complete without some wine tasting (for the grownups), and our local guide knows these hills and wines blindfolded. "Salute!"
DISTANCE | 50KM | 30MI
ELEVATION | 950M | 3100FT

DAY THREE TUE 31 MAR | ALBA TO ACQUI TERME

A transfer day along scenic, undulating roads with the vineyards creating a natural tapestry over the hills. We leave the Langhe region and arrive in Acqui, a spa town of hot sulphur springs. Will you dare to drink these therapeutic waters - hold your nose! Acqui Terme also abounds in Roman remains, including an impressive acquaduct.
DISTANCE | 60KM | 37MI
ELEVATION | 1000M | 3300FT

DAY FOUR WED 1 APR | LOOP TO NIZZA MONFERRATO

Fantastic ride that winds through gently undulating countryside. Nizza Monferrato has a delightful pedestrian only centre with seventeenth century arcades and balconies overlooking funky shops, restaurants and cafes. Like any good Italian town, it has its own festival, the Corsa delle Botti, where local wine cellars race their barrels through the streets of Nizza.
DISTANCE | 45KM | 28MI
ELEVATION | 700M | 2300FT

DAY FIVE THU 2 APR | ACQUI TERME TO GAVI

A scenic ride that meanders to stunning Villa Sparina, passing through Gavi along the way. Gorgeous views are to be had from the fort perched high above the village, and has its own fascinating history. In addition to superb wines, Gavi is also famous for delicious ravioli.
Time for some fun shopping at the famous Serravalle outlet village for those who would like it.
DISTANCE | 45KM | 28MI
ELEVATION | 950M | 3100FT

DAY SIX FRI 3 APR | GAVI LOOP

A visit for any cyclist to Piedmont would not be complete without a ride to the home town of Fausto Coppi. Ride the roads on which the famous Fausto and his brother forged their cycling skills. We can stop for lunch in Novi Ligure, a town of beautiful palaces and villas. The town was a popular holiday resort for wealthy Genoese families in the 17th and 18th centuries who loved to spend their summer in the Piemontese countryside.
DISTANCE | 65KM | 40MI
ELEVATION | 1050M | 3450FT

DAY SEVEN SAT 4 APR | GOODBYE

We transfer you back to Torino, a journey of about 2 hours. You can plan onward travel from around midday.

Time to say farewell, until next time.
Ride safe Puntos!
