FULL ITINERARY

DAY ONE SAT 12 SEP | ARRIVAL

Arrive in Malpensa Milan airport, ready to join the group transfer to Bormio. The transfer will be early morning, so we recommend arriving the evening before and checking in to an airport hotel. The transfer will be between 9:00-10:00am.
On arrival in the lovely town of Bormio, settle into your hotel. Your guides will check the bikes, whether you brought your own or chose to hire a bike so you are ready to roll.
After a light lunch, we'll head out for a shake-out ride after travelling to Bormio 2000. Welcome to the Italian Alps!
DISTANCE | 22KM | 14MI
ELEVATION | 750 | 2450FT

DAY TWO SUN 13 SEP | PASSO DI GAVIA

A great introduction to riding in the Italian Alps. In the morning we’ll ride one of the most striking scenic climbs to Passo di Gavia and the tranquil lake at the summit. The road winds through forest in the lower slopes before emerging into an almost lunar like landscape. The descent back to Bormio is technical at the start, and thrilling to finish!
DISTANCE | 50KM | 31MI
ELEVATION | 1500M | 4900FT

In the afternoon, there is the option of nailing one the
'mini-Stelvio', the Cancano.
DISTANCE | 30KM | 19MI
ELEVATION | 950M | 3100FT

DAY THREE MON 14 SEP | STELVIO LOOP!

A truly magnificent loop, with the challenge of riding all three sides of the Stelvio. Pace yourself up the ‘easier’ side from Bormio, and then slalom down the Umbrail Pass into Switzerland. A scenic, warp speed downhill to Glorenza, before we commence the deceptively, gentle start to this long legendary ascent. The bubbling stream and alpine pastures soon give way to the 48 hairpins that lead inexorably to the summit. Swoop back down to Bormio and soak in the thermal baths of this spa town.
DISTANCE | 102KM | 63MI
ELEVATION | 3200M | 10500FT

DAY FOUR TUE 15 SEP | TRANSFER BORMIO TO CORVARA

Today begins with a van transfer from Bormio to Corvara, so a chance to rest those legs. The journey is about 4.5 hours, but we'll stop in the picturesque town of Bolzano along the way.
On arrival in Corvara, settle in to your charming hotel.
If there is time, we can go for a short ride to loosen up for the next fantastic days ahead.

DAY FIVE WED 16 SEP | VALPAROLA LOOP

Great route today, which includes part of the tail end of the famous Maratona Granfondo course. We climb the Valparola Pass from Corvara, dip down into the green, Fodom valley and then ascend Passo Campolongo from the south. Panoramic views on the descent back into Corvara.
Relax in the afternoon, or visit Cortina, home of the 2026 Winter Olympic Games.
DISTANCE | 50KM | 31MI
ELEVATION | 1350M | 4400FT

DAY SIX THU 17 SEP | SELLARONDA LOOP

We trace the route of the short course Maratona dles Dolomiti, and one of the most stunning cycling and ski circuits in the world. Four amazingly different passes that showcase the Sella massif - Passo Campolongo, Passo Pordoi, Passo Sella and the gorgeous Passo Gardena - which will be your favourite?
Celebration dinner to wind up some incredible Italian riding.
DISTANCE | 65KM | 40MI
ELEVATION | 1760M | 5750FT

DAY SEVEN FRI 18 SEP | DEPARTURE

As much or as little as you want. It’s your holiday.  You determine how much you want to ride. You can, on any day, choose to cut a ride short, miss a climb, only do the downhills, have a rest day or ask for more!  The van is always handy if you choose not to ride, and a guide is always willing to do some extra distance if you wish. You just need to ask.
