Past Monumental Tours in Slovenia

Until recently, Slovenia was overlooked, with tourists heading to explore its more well-known neighbours, Austria, Italy and Croatia. It is time for Slovenia to shine! This beautiful country will surprise you. It is one of the most biologically diverse countries in the world and has quietly moved to secure this heritage by protecting over a third of its land area. Magnificent forests across more than half the nation are nurtured, with Slovenes continuing to plant trees every year. The discovery of ancient artifacts and the oldest human skull, reveals this beautiful part of planet Earth has been home to discerning people for a very long time.

The nation is addicted to outdoor, active holidays so a smorgasbord of adventures awaits. As well as providing off-bike activities in extraordinary locations, the Slovene culture and local hospitality will enrich the soul. History hasn’t passed Slovenia by. Rather, Slovenia has been amid the swirling events of central European drama and survived to tell the tales. Remember those neighbours? Slovenian cooking is delicious! A wonderful cuisine created from the freshest of local produce, entwined with Austrian, Italian and eastern European flavours. It all adds up to a new, idyllic cycling destination.

WHAT KIND OF CYCLISTS TAKE YOUR TOURS?

There is no mold! We have had cyclists from 18-72 years of age, some choosing easy, others choosing extremely challenging tours. We firmly believe we have something for almost all cycling abilities. Use our Difficulty Rating to help you select a tour that suits what you want.  We're happy to talk it over with you if you're unsure.

HOW MUCH RIDING DO I HAVE TO DO?

As much or as little as you want. It’s your holiday.  You determine how much you want to ride. You can, on any day, choose to cut a ride short, miss a climb, only do the downhills, have a rest day or ask for more!  The van is always handy if you choose not to ride, and a guide is always willing to do some extra distance if you wish. You just need to ask.
