A string of gloriously beautiful islands, Japan has created a nation that is an economic powerhouse, a leader in science and technology and home to a hard working population of 128 million people. And yet over two thirds of the country is rugged and mountainous terrain, clothed in forest. Despite the energy of the Japanese that propelled it to the third largest national economy in the world, there is a sense of man and nature in harmony.

The peaceful tradition of a tea ceremony, perfect gardens of raked gravel and falling water, dense forest and burbling streams with mossy boulders, ethereal ink paintings and graceful geisha. A tour in Japan is an experience that is culturally enriching, in the hands of hosts that are unfailingly friendly, respectful and polite. A tour to enrich the soul in all of us.

WHAT KIND OF CYCLISTS TAKE YOUR TOURS?

There is no mold! We have had cyclists from 18-72 years of age, some choosing easy, others choosing extremely challenging tours. We firmly believe we have something for almost all cycling abilities. Use our Difficulty Rating to help you select a tour that suits what you want.  We're happy to talk it over with you if you're unsure.

HOW MUCH RIDING DO I HAVE TO DO?

As much or as little as you want. It’s your holiday.  You determine how much you want to ride. You can, on any day, choose to cut a ride short, miss a climb, only do the downhills, have a rest day or ask for more!  The van is always handy if you choose not to ride, and a guide is always willing to do some extra distance if you wish. You just need to ask.
